ORGANIC COLOUR SYSTEMS MAKES A SPLASH AT HAIR EXPO SYDNEY
Organic Colour Systems exhibited at Hair Expo for the 2nd year. We were fortunate to have Karine Jackson the Creative Director for Herb UK, the manufacturers of Organic Colour Systems and London Hairdresser of the Year 2007, represent us at the Expo.
Karine Jackson's action packed programme on the Hair Expo Stage showcased the latest OCS products, technologies and trends for the future. She was on stage on Saturday and Sunday and presented a seminar as part of the Look ‘n Learn programme on Monday.
As well as her cutting skills, Karine is a brilliant colourist. Participants were able to take away new techniques and see what amazing results can be achieved by using Organic Colour, Care and Control Systems.
Karine's key trends for Hair Expo were vibrant dense organic colours - rich coppers, fiery reds, ice blondes and midnight blacks – using block techniques and heavy panelling for the application of colour. The cuts were very dramatic (think shaven sides with conflicting bouncy soft curls), and bowl cuts with heavy fringes. Basically the world of glamour meets nature’s organic best.

Says Karine, “I’m delighted to be a part of such a dynamic young company as I’ve loved using their products for the past couple of years. A huge percentage of my clientele has switched and everyone from Marie Claire to Sunday Times Style have raved about the colours and perm. They really leave hair in tip-top condition. I’m looking forward to creating some gorgeous imagery and running educational courses for 2009.”
Karine started her career in a family salon in Wollongong and went on to win London Hairdresser of the Year in 2007. Karine will inspire hairstylists of all levels by using organic colour that is not only great for salon clients, for the hairdresser, the colourist and the environment. Karine is an ambitious and respected hair stylist who, despite being trained to the highest level by L’Oreal, has chosen to endorse our products.
Jan and Lesley Goroncy from Organic Colour Systems Australia, were supported at the stand by Rick Farrant, Commercial Director, Herb UK, our Queensland Distributor, Tanya Kosanic from T Organics, our Victorian Distributor, George Alexander from Organic Certified Sytems and the New Zealand Distributor's OCS Account Manager and National Education Manager.
All in all, it was a fun, educational and rewarding weekend.
(Hair Expo is the largest hairdressing industry event in the southern hemisphere. It offers 10,000 m2 of exhibition space, 25 high end seminars and hands on workshop sessions for 300 to 600 guests, 3 gala evening events, as well as the industry’s most renowned set of awards. It is held annually at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre on the June long weekend and has over 10,000 visitors)..
